Martinique is one of the Windward Islands in the Caribbean Sea. It is a possession of France and relies heavily upon the country for its economy and stability. Although a beautiful paradise, it is also a volcanic island. About a century ago, a volcanic eruption killed 30,000 people.

A danger more serious than volcanoes also simmers beneath the surface of this island. Spiritual apathy is a constant danger to the 400,000 inhabitants of Martinique. With no independent Baptist missionaries at work in this nation, the spiritual need is great. Pray for a team of missionaries to respond to this open door with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
